Edelrid Mega Jul bucket belay device and light and solid climbing descender, made of stainless steel to increase its resistance. The Mega Jul is excellent for belaying the leader both with a single rope and with two half or twins. It can in fact be used with ropes with a minimum diameter of 7.8 mm and a maximum of 10.5 mm.
The Mega Jul is equipped with an additional upper ring that allows, once arrived at the belay, to organize the recovery of one or two seconds of roping in brake mode. Thanks to an additional lower ring, the Mega Jul also allows the regulated descent of one second from the stop.
The Mega Jul is also a descender to be used for abseiling, with or without a prusik or machard knot.
